Nick Jr.`s unique children`s television series LAZY TOWN offers a fun and educational way to get kids off the couch and into a lifetime of physical fitness. Produced in Iceland and aimed at preschool children, the innovative series stresses the importance of nutrition and exercise through a fun mix of human actors and puppets against a colorful, computer-animated background. The series centers around a pink-haired eight-year-old named Stephanie (Julianna Rose Mauriello) as she helps athletic superhero Sportacus (series creator Magnus Scheving) battle lazy villain Robbie Rotten (Stefan Karl Stefansson) in lighthearted, nonviolent adventures. Along the way, Sportacus teaches kids healthy eating habits while zany musical numbers encourage active participation for an easy approach to exercise. This volume celebrates Christmas with two holiday-themed episodes: Lazytown`s Surprise Santa and Ziggy`s Alien.

Dave Van Ronk (1936-2002) was one of the founding figures of the 1960s folk revival, but he was far more than that. A pioneer of modern acoustic blues, a fine songwriter and arranger, a powerful singer, and one of the most influential guitarists of the 1960s, he was also a marvelous storyteller, a peerless musical historian, and one of the most quotable figures on the Greenwich Village scene. Holding court in legendary venues like Gerde's Folk City and the Gaslight Caf8E, Van Ronk's influence was so great that a stretch of Sheridan Square-the heart of the Village-was renamed on June 30, 2004, and is now Dave Van Ronk Street.

The apes are back in Sonys APE ESCAPE 3 for the PS2. Featuring the same great monkey-catching setup as the previous two games, APE ESCAPE 3 focuses more on the humor of the series and adds tons of extras, mini-games, and monkeys. The evil monkey Specter is back, and this time, hes teamed up with a human scientist, Doctor Tomoko, to create a series of crazy TV shows that will turn all of humanity into mush-brained couch potatoes. Even Jimmy, Spike, and the professor, the heroes of the previous games, are mesmerized by the silly shows, leaving only young Kei and his sister Yumi to deal with Specter and his band of monkeys. Players can choose to play as either Kei or Yumi, although both have the same equipment and basic moves. Once again, the goal of the game is to enter a level, track down the monkeys, and capture them in a net.
